Welcome to The Swim the Lake Event 2025
Taking place on the beautiful Ardingly Reservoir, the swims are set out on a triangular course marked with large yellow bouys to guide the way.
The course is based on the western side of the water, swimming out from the Activity Centre to the middle of the water, back along the far side, then across in front of the main wall.
Wet Suits will be optional if the water temperature is 16C or above.
If you swim without a wet suit then you must have a TOW FLOAT.
- 3km = 4 laps
- 1.5km = 2 laps
- 750m = 1 lap
- The Aquathlon = 750m Swim (1 lap) Transition, Run = 5km

Beautiful Surroundings
The water is set in the lovely countryside of West Sussex high hills on all sides, wild birds and the iconic Ardingly College building in the back ground.
The triangular swim course is based in the western side of the water and swims out from the Activity Centre to the middle of the water then back along the far side, then across in front of the main wall.
All spectators will get a great view of the whole course.
There will be Activity Centre support craft and lifeguards on duty to assist you in your swim.
Ample Parking at the Reservoir with Overflow at the Ardingly College.
